Known Problems

After we switched to the new Blogger in February 2007, we realized Google no longer supports classic (circa 2002) Blogger templates that feature rounded corners and shadows. Two of our broken pages are:

- Bay Area Radio (one rounded corner temporarily disabled, just above and to the left of the Google ads)
- About Us/Contact Us (lots of rounded corners and shadows—we’ve given up on this one)

If you’re familiar with HTML scripts that don’t rely on image files—Nifty Corners Cube, Spiffy Corners, Curvy Corners, and the like—let us know how we can modify them to render one rounded corner.

What They Don’t Tell You About Search Engines

Only one of the top three search engines has consistently passed all our tests. Find out which one by reading our review of search engines.

If you’re like most people, you probably click on Google’s cached display. Beware that what’s in the cache could be more than three months old. You may have missed this reminder from Google: “Google’s cache is the snapshot that we took of the page as we crawled the Web. The page may have changed since that time. Click [on the page’s link] for the current page without highlighting.” That’s just one of the issues with Google’s methodology. Read our experience with Google (look for Google This). To make sure you’re looking at the latest information on the Web, you should always click on the returned page’s actual Web address.
